Game Plan Sports is a fitness training provider specialising in tennis specific training. With over a decade of experience in the tennis industry, working with players of all ages and abilities.
Our goal is to support you with your program needs. Whether that is to improve your speed around the court, maintain match intensity or increase flexibility to prevent injuries. We offer in person or online coaching services to help you take control of your game.
We have a choice of sessions which we run at our venue or a selection of online and consultation programs available depending on how much tailored input you want to improve your game.
I came to Matt at the start of March asking for his help to try and lose weight through training and dietary advice. As a fellow tennis coach and player I was keen to train with him as he was able to tailor and plan the regime specifically around work and tennis movements.
I started off at roughly 98kg and really quite immobile due to past hip injuries in particular. He was able to structure the training so that we worked on technique and just trying to increase my range of movement in order to lift heavier weights in the weeks and months to come. I was not able to do a body weight squat at the start and now four months into training I am now squatting with 80kg weight. He has been very helpful in giving me tips on technique, especially with explosive movements such as bench press, deadlift and clean and press.
His knowledge of different variations for these explosive, key movements make the sessions exciting and different every time which is crucial to staying motivated. He also helped me adapt my diet massively and within four months I have now lost 7kg, with my target of getting down to around 80-85kg looking more and more achievable in the next year or so of training with him.
I am loving the routine and lifestyle Matt has helped me change to and I look forward to reaching and setting more goals with my fitness and health with him. Thanks mate, massively appreciated!
Matt is an awesome, motivational, hard working coach. He helps me all the time with my fitness, tennis and rugby. Matt keeps me on track to reach my targets in sport and is always keeping me motivated. His knowledge on sport in general is outstanding, he always knows the answers to my sporting questions and is always teaching me new things for fitness and tennis.
I’ve been doing circuits with Matt for over a year now. My overall fitness levels and tennis strokes have improved significantly but most importantlyI really enjoy the sessions. Matt works us hard but we have a lot of fun so going to circuits never feels like a chore…. I would highly recommend Matt’s circuit classes.
Matt’s is fantastic at motivating us and he is always challenging us to push ourselves to the limit. No two sessions are the same and Matt also tailors the workouts to meet our individual needs e.g. before a ski holiday there are squats galore.
One thing Matt is really good at is bringing humour and fun to the sessions to help us forget about the pain we are enduring!
