The final stage of mini tennis is with a green ball that closer replicates the yellow ball.

Game Plan Sports have a full green ball programme on offer for those who have never hit a ball to those striving to play at a county or national standard.

Children can start off in our beginners squads and progress through the different stages…

Beginner - Learning the game, showing an interest in tennis

Development - Developing technical & tactical skills, learning to compete & aspiring to play for the club

Academy - Aspiring to complete at county level / national level. Will be competing regularly externally

ABOUT GREEN BALL:

Q: What ball is used?

A: A green ball is used, which is 25% slower than a yellow ball.

Q: What size court is green ball played on?

A: Mini Tennis Green is played on a normal size court. Doubles matches should also be played on a normal size court with singles sticks in place (if available).

Q: What height is the net?

A: The net is at full height.

Q: What racket is best to use?

A: A bigger racket of 63cm – 66cm (25″ – 26″) should be used but is not compulsory.
